My car is nearly finished with the bodywork stages and will hopefully be coming home in the next month or so.
I want to go ahead and have it primed and blocked, etc., but won't be able to afford having the whole car painted just yet.

What all areas would you guys suggest that I do have painted? I figured it'd be best to go ahead and have the interior, firewall and engine bay done so that I could install my A/C, wiper motor, etc., and that way I could work on piecing my interior together while I save up for finishing with paint.

Can you guys offer any ideas or suggestions?

All situations are different. Depending on the color you're going with I would start with the jambs, engine bay, trunk and jamb, etc. Anywhere you need color except the main body. BTW, what color are you going with??

Agreed, paint everything but the body skins.  That way you'll be able to assemble the majority of the car and test everything.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Thank you gentlemen!

I've got it narrowed down between Hemi Orange and something along the lines of the green that Bill440RT used, can't recall it at the moment. Original color was pea green, F? I can't remember right off with stripe delete with factory saddle interior.
