Why do I remember where I put a wrench I modified 30 years ago and can not remember where I put a wrench 30 seconds ago?

                                         I laugh at myself a lot about this.....I remember pretty good what I take apart, how the parts go back together...etc.
                                         It's the tools I do it with..... is the problem.
