Looking for a recommendation for a good reputable source for a windshield mount light bar....

Anyone?

http://www.quadratec.com/ is pretty good to deal with.    Solid easy to navigate site and good prices.   I've bought all my CJ stuff from them.

What year Wrangler?

Seems to be a bunch of different manufacturers out there. I've heard of KC Highlights but not the rest.

Opinions?

This is the kid's new rig. Doing some Christmas shopping....

The best time of my life was when I owned my Wrangler....   :2thumbs:   If only they fit 3 car seats across the back I might still have it today...  :-\   :'(

Don't have a lightbar like that so can't say.   You might want to do a search over at jeep-cj.com or jeepforum.com and see if there are any opinions on them.

For a good light bar try http://www.ruggedridgeoffroad.com/jeep-light-bars.php. They make a good amount of Jeep's factory accesories. Quadratec is a good source for parts. I use http://www.4wd.com/ a lot. If you deal with a Jeep specific aftermarket shop you will get good quality stuff. They usually carry the top shelf parts. Places like JC Whitney that carry everything aren't chosey what quality product they sell.

I've purchased lots of stuff from Quadratec and have been quite happy. I've also had good experience with allthingsjeep.com and, don't laugh, JCWhitney.

I'm sure you can get a quality light bar from JC Whitney and you can get a $50 light bar too. The $50 bar will rust as you are installing it.
NH Mopar Fan-The KC bar kinda sticks out from the windshield. The Rugged Ridge bar better conforms to the windshield. There are many companies that offer similar designs. Its a good idea to do a little homework. Quadratec shows many options from many vendors but there are  an endless number of Jeep accesory shops to choose from.
FYI-My experience is Quadratec is the Year One of Jeeps. They may carry everything but you will pay dearly for shipping and handling. :Twocents:
Once you find your lightbar shop other sites that offer free shipping and handling.

theretrofitsource offered a sweet light bar, not cheap but there stuff is TOP notch. They've since redesigned the site and i dont see it listed, maybe give em a ring?

I was going to buy a new one, but imho they are way overpriced.

Thanks guys.

After spending sometime doing some research, we went with the KC Hilights bar and a couple sets of KC Daylighters.

The Rugged Ridge stuff was a little cheaper but some of the reviews basically said you get what you pay for.
