Looks good, and you can probably get it for closer to $1,000.  :2thumbs:

I am guessing it is a smog era 440 or low CR?

That's a BIG cam and will not be the best for the intake or carb he is using either.

Still if it is priced right a cam\lifter swap to something like this and it should be good. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/lun-10230702lk/overview/make/dodge

Agreed, low comp, smog, cast crank 440. Too much cam even for a 10.0:1 440 much less a 7.5:1 engine. Not bad, but alot of mismatched parts.

Yep.  That motor will shake and sound bad ass but be a dog.    That's the same cam I had in mine at first.   POS in my opinion.

Motor rebuilt or only the heads? It's not clear. Being in Arizona, how many 440s do you normally run across? The heads, if done right, would be good trade bait for someone who had a set of closed chamber heads laying around (I might know someone). That would boost the compression. I'd check to see how far the pistons are in the hole before sorting out the cam.

I don't think it's a bad start - but I doubt you'll be incredibly happy with it "as is". The price isn't bad considering it has an intake, carb, and headers that you could sell to offset the cost of parts you actually want. (Actually, I'd have to look, but that intake might be the one you want.)

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

that carb is not a 650.  More than likely, it's a 750.  :2thumbs:

Cast crank thick balancer, offer him 800.00, cash. Then depending on what you want to do with it, go from there.

Also, on the rockers. they do not look like they are in order. There is a L/R side, otherwise they are not centered on the pushrods. :Twocents:
