What would YOU do??

Well, I always dreamed of what I would do. Stick enough in the bank/matress to live out life.

Gotta really close older guy as a friend, and is battling some pretty serious finacial problems due to unforseen med. bills. (Sh*t Insurance)..
I'd love to see his face when I offer to pay off his bills as an Xmas gift. Then, just walk away. No thanks, no fan fare, no nothing.

Another buddy just lost his job (Laid off..REALLY nice way of saying your fired IMO). About to lose his house. Am helping him a little bit with Xmas for his two little boys, but would love to just show up with an armload of toys. This was done for me and my brother one year for Xmas. We didn't know it till years later, but my pop had been laid off right at Xmas, and had no money to speak of, so my Uncle stepped in and bought Xmas that year.

I've no idea. I'd sit on it for a while, collect my thoughts and take it from there.

Would have some fun for sure, after that, who knows. Will never know, cause I am destined to work the rest of my life.

ive seen alot of people out on their luck. seen a single dad with 2 kids living in a truck.    so i thought i would buy a campground and fill it full of campers and open it up to people that are down on their luck so they can sleep in peace and cook a breakfast the next morning. when they get back on their feet, they can move on.  then hire a few of the people that can do maintenance on the grounds to keep it all running. :2thumbs:

Give my parents a large chunk of change, for starters.  Then I'd try to buy my old Barracuda back.  If I couldn't, then I'd settle for a 68 fastback Barracuda, and drop in a 5.7.  I'd also go back to college, and save the rest.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Split up a million to close family. Donate a good chunk to a couple ministries.

Sell our house and buy this 7 acre lot in town and build a modest barn style house and garage loft.

Take a heavy equipment course and get licensed as a contractor to do septic systems and start a small excavation company. I'd buy a smaller apartment building for guaranteed income. Invest some in RRSP and invest maybe 100k or so in blue chip and penny stocks.

Probably buy my dream car a hemi C500.

Make sure I still had 500k in a sock buried in a box in the woods.

Rich.... heck give me a 500 thou. and I will be content then not having to do 60 hrs a week to make ends meet I could spend my time improving my family and comunity's life. investments are where its at. it will not need to be a million but take 50 or 100 grand and place it in a profitable business with residual income, manage it properly, and as im sure a lot of you guys judging by tie time, effort and god forsaken money you put into your hobbies, can testify that if you make your money work for you a "jack-pot" is not where they money is not to mention the self satisfaction. :Twocents:

My buddy and I have a standing agreement. If one of us hits it big, we take care of the other. Other than that, I would take care of family and bank enough for my family to be set, then start a children's charity foundation and help out some animal shelters.

Oh yeah, and have a few nice cars.  :2thumbs:

My list is somewhat "boring". I'd start by paying off any/all debt (house, truck, miscellaneous, and -substantial- medical). Like most, I'd pass some out to deserving family/friends. After that I'd kick my Charger projects into high gear and get them "finished". The rest would be safely tucked away and/or invested for future expenses (again -substantial- medical). I'd likely buy some hunting land as well, hard to say exactly where though.

Buy a farm house or build a new house in Victorian style with one hell of a workshop attached and a huge garden for my wife.  We've got all we need so much of it would be donated anyway.
