My Charger was on E bay and last night the auction ended. The car is going to Arizona. I spoke to the buyer and he sounds thrilled to have the car. I hope he gets the car restored and back on the road.
I am surprised and thrilled with the ending bid. I guess triple green doesn't affect the price as much as I originally thought.

There is nothing wrong with green, its just here on the forum that it looks like that.  The green haters are even worse than the GL purists. :icon_smile_wink:

myk

Green's a fine color.  A 2nd Gen is so beautiful that it makes rust look good.  As for the GL purists, well....considering their car isn't "original" from the factory anyway, they've got nothing to say...

Double whammy on me. Mine is green, green.... Now for 50 shades of orange..... Mine will be the worse disliked one here..... Too bad it won`t happen lol.... Now if I had the cash to do it right, it would be a different story. So I`m goin green LOL. GO GREEN!

Hey now, I have a triple green Charger destined to be a GL by sometime next year. Give me some credit! We'll both have "hated" cars (even though I love the triple green).

Yeah but you'll get to say yours is triple hated.  Thats even better than Mytur Binsdurti being a double dipping douchebag I bet.

I'll really throw a wrench into things a few years down the line when we strip the orange paint and turn it into a Daytona! Maybe even a triple green one!!!  :2thumbs:

Woah you really did good with that car!  I guess R/T SE still means something, green or not.   :icon_smile_big:

Btw, kudos for your detailed and honest ad.   :2thumbs:

F8-4life

Congrats on the sell, price was definitly more a function of the rt/se 4 speed track pack. Rather then green. But im sure you guys are just kidding around with the green comments lol

JB400

Glad to hear you got a decent price out of it.  Is there going to be a replacement?

Thanks for the Kudos. I put a lot of time into putting that ad together. I wanted to be honest and not get long winded. I was surprised by some of the questions. Most of those questions were because people did not read the ad!

Actually I bought a T5 '69 R/T 4 speed car about a year ago.

Unless I missed it, what did it sell for? This is the one with the grey primer on it?

Ghoste,
Thanks! I didn't even think to do that.

Does anyone know a shipper willing to pick the car up in Ct. and deliver it to New Jersey for the new owner?

There's a ton of them, however that shouldn't be your concern but the buyer's.  I haven't used shipping companies before so I can't tell you which are good.

Tell the buyer to pick up a truck and trailer from Uhaul and have a fun roadtrip!

I'm trying to help the new buyer out. He is from Arizona, so I am not sure if a road trip is an option for him.

Arizona?  I thought it was going to NJ?

There's someone on the board who's constantly moving cars across the country so I'd give him a call.  He's in the services/business section.

He is in Arizona. I don't know all the details but it is going to NJ to have the body done.

Sounds like the new owner is ready to dig in on the car. I am hoping he stays in touch and I get to see pics of it done.

That would be cool.  It's also waht I'm doing.  I'm sending updates to the previous owner from time to time.  I told him he can tell me to stop at any time, but apparently he enjoys hearing about the car.
