Wondering about the numbers above the part number on the 37A alternator? It's not an assembly date code, that is stamped below the part number. :scratchchin: Anyone knows?

5 should be the month 67 the year theres also a star burst calendar with year in center and dots the months.The other codes might be mentioned on this

Agree, you are correct. But I am curious about the 2-2-3 on top? Have never figured out what these numbers mean...

this is not 72 and late alt... is an EVEN LATER piece, 76/77 and lates piece. 72/76 are with brushes disposition still 90º like roundbacks and using same isolators. The 76 and lates brushes isolators changes one of them. case is totally diff too and is wider
