This guy in Mission/Prairie Villiage Kansas waited 2 years for this $200,000.00 car. He received it two days ago and had only put 9 miles on it. He decided to try out how fast it would go, so he decided to punch the gas pedal. When he did, he lost traction on the rear wheel and lost control on a bridge which crosses a small creek. He nailed the steel and concrete pole.

Are the pictures too big?  Someone on another board said I was jacking up the threads.  It shows screen size on my end.

Woah! That sucks! :o
The guy's obviously got more money than brains and/or driving skills. :rotz:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Well that is the 2nd Ford GT to bite the big one this week. At least this one got out of the showroom.

I hope he had it insured, but then again, the insurance company will total it because the air bags went off. :'(

Total a 200,000 car because the airbags went off?  That can't be right.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

At least 3 down now....Ford fan's should start documenting the history of these cars. In 30 years people will chatting about the mythical GT with 9 miles that hit a bridge, burned at the dealership, etc.

More than likely all of these could be fixed. Even if they are totalled out for insurance purposes they would likely be bought at auction and repaired.

Well I guess it goes much faster when there aren't poles and such in his way.  Geez, looks like it stops on a dime though... :icon_smile_big:

The second and last pic shows the skid mark left by the front driver's side tire.  :o  He was scootin', I imagine he's counting his blessings as well, the pole kept him from going airborn.  :-\

Is anybody else starting to realize where a lot of hot muscle cars ended up back in the day?  :'(

I noticed watching the Top Gear show last night that featured the Ford GT and the '68 Charger, that when the host (dunno his name) was wringing out the GT the thing was slippin and slidin' dartin' around and General Lee squirral lee...

That gives me an idea for a Daytona nose cone headlite set up. Hey, its a clone anways, why not! Wish I could get those parts from the car.
Marky

At this rate just wait 2 or 3 more weeks and 1\4 of all GT's produced will be totaled and some parts will be on Ebay.

I could see the same thing happening with a HEMI Charger when someone got ahold of WAY MORE car than they can handle, like said above.
