Leave it to the Italians to make it disappear.  :rotz:

It had been sold to a separate foundation in order to ensure that Fiat couldn't close it and sell it off.  They are now in effect selling it back to Chrysler in an effort to keep it open.  They aren't fully closing it yet, just changing its opening times to only being for specific events.
Hopefully Fiat will allow it to remain in existence.

What? You mean Italians don't have any Hemi's?

Poor Detroit, you can't win for losing can you?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

What? the closest FIAT can come to a C500, is a Fiat500. Hmmm, so this will be in the Museum next then?

Right now the plan is for it to come under the stewarship of the Chrysler Foundation and be part oof Chrysler Group so it would seem unlikely but far far far from impossible that we would see any Fiat products in there.  At least not in the near future.  But who knows?

Like many museums, the WPC Museum Foundation has been operating at a large deficit.   You can only do so much with $8 admissions and the gift shop.    The rest has to come from things like facility rentals and general fund raising.   It has been unable to raise the level of public funding needed to keep the preferred status as a public charity that it currently has.
