Love Coronets and wish I could add a 67 WO and a 69 Super Bee to the stable.  Not likely to happen but I love the look of them both.

Good finds.  The one if Vegas looks like a really good deal.   :2thumbs:

texted the red one, but no reply and texted the one in vegas for pics of engine bay and interior he told me 45mins and that was 3 hours ago or 2 hours dont remember.  Looks good though from pics.....though only a 318 I would still had a blower to it for kicks and giggles.

yeah he gave me one pic of the engine bay and it looks 'nice'. Im still debating on that first like I said I do like it and yeah those rims are a bit much rather take the classic cragers in black and I would plastidip the car in black also so im going through my head right now how much I would need to throw at it to make it my liking.

hey cat how much u think that first coronet is worth? i was thinkin 8k?

I had a somewhat wild 1965 440 model that someone had stuffed a fairly healthy 440 motor into.  I was in my early 20's and it almost "Terminated" me one night.  God does indeed look after fools and children.

Yeah, wonder if he bought it?   :scratchchin:

You just don't see the Sport Satellites at all anymore. Even the base model Belvedere would have been cool to have gotten instead of the Road Runner I found, but those seem even more rare & never with a big block. I saw a slant six Belvedere online for sale that was Burnt Orange inside & out with low miles. I exchanged a couple of emails but it was too far away. I looked at a 383 Sport Satellite that was close & was decent, but not quite as nice as the Road Runner I did find. For the slight difference in price it only made sense to spend a bit more & get a lot more.

Haha, trust me, if I had the means Id snap it up. Needs a couple little things but overall very nice. Great story behind it too. He spotted it back in July while driving his 76 jeep and stopped to take a picture. The owner came running out and started asking him about his jeep. I guess they got to talking and the guy wanted a toy to play with off-road so they straight up traded. He was debating between keeping it or selling it to put a down on a house last I heard.

the link is still there no I didnt by it im trying to convince him to lower it to 8k right now he is down to 8800. I really like the front facia of the coronets though..damn  but yeah that satellite 383 is so much cooler with hits floor shifter vs column shifting on the vegas one with bench seating.

more pics from the vegas one interior is snotty, but exterior looks nice from pics.

engine bay seems he changed valve covers from orange to blue.

They were'nt pinstripes, they were anodized aluminum moldings, that was part of the option on the Coronet 440 models. Thanks bakerhillpins,it was a 24k orig mile car that I stripped, painted, rechromed everything, detailed eng bay/suspension,etc.Sold to Best of Show, they sold to guy from Michigan, then it just sold this year to a guy in NY who has called me for info on it.When it was for sale on ebay this year,I was very ,very close to buying it back, kinda wish I did,but been there done that, had my fun with it and decided to move on.
Another pic with the orig wheels and tires.

wow just wow those pics makes me want to pick up that coronet in vegas.......but I would have to dump probably 20k more to make it look like yours.

I wondered if it was metal... After seeing that car I have now bookmarked a few 68 Coronet searches. Just what I need, another car.   :coocoo: The price points on them are really good though.   :yesnod:

Almost makes me glad I didn't see it on ebay when it last listed.

I'm gonna guess with the Hoosiers the tach the roll bar and the five point harnesses inside that it's got more then a 4 cylinder pushing it!

68wannabe, just for clarification do you have both a 58 Coronet that is similar to a GL and a Charger GL or two Coronets that are one as a GL and the other just similar?  (does that question make sense?)  I ask because I thought you had one 68 Coronet that was done up exactly as a GL.

F8-4life

My first chrysler was a '68 coronet 500, bought it cause it "looked like a charger" sounds lame but back then I was a chevy guy lol.. I still have the car and I think '68 coronet 500/RTs were gifted with one of the best tail panels.

I have a 69 Charger GL and the 68 Coronet. I posted a pic awhile ago with Coronet with magnetic 01 on the door. At one time  the Coronet did have Vector wheel and no Vinyl top.
