i think you need to look for sporty cars with distinctive styling.  so many of the cars today all look alike.

Standard mistaken assumption:  What adults want today, and preserve for tomorrow, will be most collectible decades later.

Truth:  What teenagers want today, and throw away tomorrow, will be most collectible decades later.

How true.  Trying to predict what will be Collectible in the Future is inconsequential.  This lesson learned from one of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes.

Imprezas, Lancer Evos, Supras, and the like.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Whatever a kids first car is, could be what he'll like later.    Like all us old farts!!
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I can see the Pontiac G8 or the GTO, maybe a SRT Jeep. . . . maybe.

The Magnum, I really do not see it. I attend the auctions weekly, many do not sell as you hear most dealers say "Nothing from Chrysler".  And the ones which do sell, bring next to nothing. Nice looking Magnums for $5000.00 or a bit less, add in the Hemi for not much more.

Tim find me a good one with a hemi for 5k we should go together!

wish i could go to an auction, if they let the public in the dealers would have be more realistic on their prices.
it wouldn't stop people from going to the dealer, most won't have the cash you need at an auction, but the dealers would have to be more competitve to those that go.
here you have to have a commercial address to get a dealer license just to go to the auctions.  no reason a dealer should be trying to make 4-8K on each car

Why not become a dealer?  Put a sign in your yard and sell 7 cars and trucks a year.  That's all it takes in MO.  Of course you do have business liscenses.
