Did any of you guys go shopping, did you get what you want?
Myself I slept in and I don't buy into whole "black Friday sale" scheme. Usually you can get good deals online, ie Ebay, craigslist, imo.

I went out last night.  Went to Target and Toys R Us. The line to check out at Toys R Us took about an hour.  I love going shopping, so I had a blast.

I like shopping, but there are no savings where I'm at.  I went to Black Friday last year at Wal Mart.  Regular price on everything.  Only a handful of selected items at a special price.  It's a joke

My Gf wanted to go so guess who got to go with her!
::)
We went to Walmart, Bestbuy and Kohl's (clothing store).

She got a samsung soundbar for her mom, an insignia 26" led 1080p monitor for herself, assassins creed III, and a pioneer head unit for her dad's jeep at best buy, a laptop for her dad's friendat Walmart, and a bunch of clothes for herself at kohl's.

There were really only two stand-out deals, and both were on TVs we didn't get. Walmart had a 60" Visio smart tv for 688 (reg. 1300 I think) and bestbuy had a 40" toshiba for 179. Best buy only had 20 of those so they were gone otherwise she would have got it for her dad.

She deffinitely saved a lot of money, but I still think comparable deals can be found
online for way less of a hassle. We didn't get home till 3:30 am; we started shopping at 8pm.  :eyes:

I would NEVER go stand in those long azz lines and deal with all of that for bargains or deals!!!I saw the one that was at Best Buy for $179,count on it being gone before you can get thru the door. You basically got $200 off or so from the reg price.I checked their flyer and saw another tv,samsung LED 40'' reg $679 on sale for three days @ $427,got up this morning ate breakfast and went there around 8am,if they still had them good,if not non biggy.Turns out they had 2 left,so one came home with me ! :icon_smile_big:
It wasn't even crowded at that time and seemed like a reg shopping day there.

I want no part of it. I'm more than happy to pay retail for the privilege of being able to stay away from giant crowds of tightwads.

only in America can you beat up someone and stomp them into the floor for a sale 1 day after being thankful for what you already have.................................

For the past 10 years, I been always spending Christmas and new years alone since my ex always has the kids. So I have no reason to even go near that stuff. If I want a deal, I'll get it online if not buy it early in the year. I think the whole black friday thing is a joke myself.

I went to Walmart for that 60" TV they had at their 10PM deal on Thursday night......waited in line outside the store for an hour to find out they only had 12 TV's and were spoken for at 8PM!

Oh well....maybe something cool will be on sale on Cyber Monday!

I spent a nice quiet evening at home after Thanksgiving. I hate crowds and malls.
I'm not currently in the market for any high end electronics right now, too many things going on at home consuming income. No need to go out.
Although, I would like to get my son an XBOX 360. There weren't really any smokin' BF deals on them, so my hunch is that they'll be on sale a while up until the holidays. Why rush?

I went to walmart and target in vegas Friday afternoon. Really wasnt crowded at all. Did not see anything that was "Such a smokin deal", but i wasnt looking for electronics. We have enough of that. Just picked up a couple things that caught my eye for the kids. We did drive by Best Buy, and the lot was PACKED!!!

That was my day too and I feel the same way. The "holidays" are a pathetic joke far removed from what the reason for the season is. We hang a nice fall wreath on our front door and enjoy the TDay feast with family. We hang our Xmas wreath after the 1st, put up a tree and Diane does the calendars she gives as gifts. We don't listen to FM or watch commercial TV.....Xmas commercials until ya puke...........don't go to malls and like that. PITA and it's a buy buy buy mentality at years end. Packs of animals prowling overpriced "gotta buy it" shopping waste lands.
If we have our eyes on something we buy it after New Years. I prolly sound like a scrooge but there's nothing Christmasy about it. IMO
