Ride height adj on 66

Just rebuilt front end and need to get it in neighborhood with ride height  to take to alignment shop-the book says measure the center of control arm pivot point,to the floor, and bottom of ball joint,to the floor,then it says refer to specs if needed-the specs say 1 7/8"+1/8". What does this measurement mean? Book doesn't explain.

you make those two measurements subtract the one measurement from the other and the answer is the spec. If it is off adjust the torsion bar up or down until in spec.
