Has roof damage, not the tree kind just some limbs fell on it. says roof is fixable he says??  has to be towed out forward thru swamp as more cars behind it,farmer has big tractor.  has been setting like 25 yrs farmer knew the owner.

Floor all rust they were able to just tear the seats loose and punch drain holes in floor.thinks rocker were solid and front frame rails good in engine hole, did not get to cross member or frame by front leaf mount s. he planed to move it this weekend before rain hit?

WEll says has a low offer and will call me when he gets it rolling and hauled to his place.thinks he will go by dmv and start the title deal. does not really want to part it ,thinks it solid enough for a drag car,, back half frame pro street.    hes a ford guy and no plan to keep it.       will see if he gets it moved with out lots more damage.DJ :icon_smile_question:

See if you can get the VIN and fender tag info next time you talk to him. Someone on this site is compiling information for a future, potential, would-be, hypothetical, pipe dream 68 registry site.

Daytona Guy

I'd say there's about as much green as yellow on that thing.

G-man

looks like it was a nice colour. Seems to be a light yellow/green car. Maybe worth saving?

Isn't it great when some redneck decides it's smarter to remove the gas cap/trim ring/filler neck with a cutting torch rather than three little screws?

That could be, but, I was thinking it might have rusted out and fell into the trunk.  Either one is plausible.

I think you're right, paint is peeled back a little ways .

That way they only ever need one tool to run their scrap yard, a gas wrench.

mauve66

but with cutting it out they get the correct depression to put on their fairlane quarter

Guess you never seen the member taking the wing off a Daytona years ago using similar crude methods.
