The Ron Howard movie that is.  A buddy of mine says there is but I don't recall such a thing.  It's been about 15 years since I saw it though so anything is possible.

MoparManJim

Yes there is, it's a bronze color 1970 Charger I do belive with a white roof but it was turn into a dirt track racecar with no grill up front. It can be seen afew times during the movie. I also have the movie on dvd as well.

Ghoste

Thanks man!  :2thumbs:  My buddy couldn't recall a color or anything like that but no matter because it still doesn't jog my memory.  I'll have to watch for it if I ever see the flick again.

Mike DC

Yeah the Charger is there.  It goes off a cliff as I recall.  Rollcaged up, fugly, and dies after a few shots.

That movie shows them ripping around Newhall, Cali.  Particularly during the opening credits.  That general landscape shows up in TONS of low budget television and movies in that era.

MoparManJim

No problem bud, but heres alittle advice, it will go right across/past the screen and you will not know it unless you look for it  :icon_smile_wink:. I spoted it when I first watch the movie long time ago. I spoted the pass read roof line and quarter skin during the race. If my memorie is right, there is a on road chanse with the camero that Ron's character is driving to get away and him and the charger is kinda side by side almost for afew seconds on the road. For you dirt track fans the guys in the dirtrack cars that are on the road chaseing the Camero is all drunk kinda or getting there.

I have that movie also, remember from when I was a kid(even then noticed there was a charger in it).Thought it was a 68 though.Don't forget about "Grand theft auto" with Ron Howard also having a 68 charger in it that the rich ex fiance steals from a car dealer gets side by side with them on the freeway then flips it over.It was burgundy with a white top and I think were either chrome reverse rims or chrome with baby moons.

Grand Theft Auto is really Eat My Dust part 1, Eat My Dust is really Grand Theft Auto part 2. Watch Grand Theft Auto on vhs if you don't belive me and you will learn for yourself that I am correct.

Wow, this is an oldie.  I have bought a copy of the movie since posting the question and forgot all about looking for a Charger in it.  Now I'll have to watch it again. :D
