After 7 1/2 years, my Charger has found a new home.  It's going to be strange not having it around but I'll be keeping busy with my 1954 Dodge FFPW project.  Here it is getting loaded up for the trip to Los Angeles where it will then be put into a container and head across the pond.  I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did.

Troy,

As the saying goes "life goes on".   Sad to see yet another car get out of the U.S.!  Seems like this is the norm lately....

Let's see some pictures of that new project. :2thumbs:

Yep, sad to see another go but...

On another note, that looks like a pretty nice pair of cars there. Hope he's insured!

Couldnt you have at least cleaned the mud (and burnt rubber) off the quarter for the new owner?  Sheesh!

;)

Sorry to see it go but if I were to sell mine I'd want it to go as far away as possible.... New Zealand is pretty far from NY.....

I agree with Chris.... rule of thumb for me is "at least three states away" :D  Sorry to see it go. It reminded me of Mr. Angry's car.

Hey Mike,

Here is a picture of the new project.  Doesn't look like much now but the cab, frame and front fenders are super solid.  The box is shot and will need to be completely replaced so that sucks.  I got a ton of extra parts with it too.  I'm shooting to have it done or mostly done by June for Mopars in the Park.  That's aggressive but it can be done.

Dude, the driver thought he had it in 1st gear when it was up in the air to drive it into the trailer.  He had it in REVERSE.   :o  I yelled STOP, WHAT THE F**K?  He drove backwards up on top of the chock and stopped.  It was about 6 inches from falling off.  I had to play Spidey and grab the controller to lower it back to the ground.  Guy said he has never had that happen before in the X amount of years he has been doing this.  Once it was back on the ground, I said "Maybe you should pull it up a little farther on the ramp and start it in 2nd gear if you can't find 1st".  At that point, I didn't say anything else, watched him bring it back up in the air, drive it into the trailer and I walked home.  I can't imagine what would've happened if it fell off.  I don't know that it was high enough to completely flip over but it wouldn't have been good.

The mud is exactly why I hate living off this gravel road.  And burnt rubber....I don't know what you're talking about.   :misbehaving:
I sent the new owner all the pics including the burn out pics.  I told him that I had to leave myself a reminder in the driveway.

I've seen lots of Mopars going to the Northern Europe countries of Norway, Sweden and Finland. But lately it seems they're all going to Australia and New Zealand.  :shruggy:  I guess its a better suited climate for our cars. :scratchchin:

It'll be at the same port as our General Lee, probably on the same boat too! Both arriving at the same time to be welcomed by us on the other side of the world  :icon_smile_cool:  :icon_smile_big:

Cool. Pretty strong Mopar following here in Auckland for the converted   :coolgleamA:. We drive them a lot, we have a fairly temperate climate and no snow.

I live in the driest state of the driest continent on this planet (average rainfall is 20 inches per year!). Where I brought the car to, I had bare metal for nearly 2 years, with hardly any surface rust at all. Too bad I'm leaving that climate, but I will need some rain to wash the dust off the Charger!
Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

Hate to see another one leave the states but it's nice to know the love is world wide.  It's sad to let them go, but sometimes it's the only way to move on.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
