    Here goes......
Ive Been out of work for over a year (5 damaged discs) . I am doing everything i can not to have to sell my charger , but if it comes down to it ive got to take care of my family first . I will get some pics up probably in the next couple of weeks . Im just looking for honest feed back on it , to me its priceless but i am a realist also . My car is a 1970 R/T Charger ,PantherPink , black vinyl top , longitudanul stripe , 440 (matching #s) 727 (havent verified #s) , buckets , console , a/c , power steering , power drum brakes , 8.75(no 3rd member) .
The car needs a full resto . The major repair needed would be both rear qtrs , full trunk floor , tail panel & valance w/returns . The floor hump with the console brackets was cut out & riveted back in( floors are nice ) ) . The items that are either in correct or missing are : incorrect radiator ( has 68 440 model) , 1 rear bumper bracket , no third member , backing plates or brake hardware (have drums though) , axles are stubs for rolling car , the carb is a 68 383 avs , 15' steelies for rollers , no windshield or w/s gasket . Missing brake booster & m/c also , no shocks .
I have clear title in my name , fendertag & buildsheet . The bumper and grille are complete & very nice as are the fenders and doors . The motor has the correct dual point dizzy (tag is mia though) , original hp manifolds w / heat shield intact , original aircleaner , all the a/c components , have orig driveshaft also . The #s are gone off of trunk rail as car had 69 qtrs put on in the eighties . The core support was removed to remove motor & trans by previous owner but kept thankfully . All #s match on motor , dash tag , fendertag & buildsheet (cant remember if still has door sticker as car was repainted black .
              The interior pieces are in nice shape . Like the upper pads arent ripped & still soft , have the original door panels also , nice console , seat tracks are nice also . The car is in a disassembled state & a roller right now . All parts and car are stored inside & can be bolted onto shell for transport if needed or left loose depends if i sell or not . here is the fender tag readout . i will just list in order not line by line . 26 end , j25 , j45 , m21 , m31 , r11 ,v6x , v1x , b51 , c16 , c55 , g33 , h51 , fm3 , c6xa , tx9 , 526 , 022390 , e86 , d32 , xs29uogxxxxxx . According to the charger registry it is 1 of 28 fm3 cars produced .
I am not wanting to sell but if it comes down to it i dont want to lose my butt on it or price it so high it wont sell . Thanx for the opinions guys .

thedodgeboys

Sounds like a cool charger I hope everything works out for you.

Hope you don't have to sell, but do understand why.  Any pics.  I haven't seen too many Pink Panthers running around.

fm3 70 rt

yeah i cant stand the thought of selling it either . At least my wife is pretty supportive of keeping too . It will be a couple of weeks before i can get pics . My friends gonna come by & shuffle all my stuff around so i can get some decent pics of it . Im kinda looking at it like this .... If i were to just pull out a wad of cash just to buy the parts and pieces for the resto id be at roughly 25k ( more most likely) . Im almost 42 , injured , got 3 kids , married and a mortgage . Im tryin to hold on as most likely would never be able to replace it . And then there is the issue of being able to complete the resto also....

JB400

I've been sitting on mine for 15 years waiting for a decent job and the money to fix it.  I'm going to try to get started real soon.  No telling what will happen to the economy.

Depending on the shape and #'s matching, $30,000.00 to $40,000.00, Pink is very rare.

Don't sell, sell Avon instead.

Damn bro, over a year? Awful doesn't cover it........I'll be hoping something good comes your way soon. I believe it will come and your family and Charger will no longer be in jeopardy. Easy for me to say but the faith man.

Unfortunately, I see this time and time again...Sorry for your misfortune and I hope it gets better for you and you keep your car.

Now, however, you have just exclaimed how you might "Have to sell"...This is where you will run into problems I'm afraid. Best to flip[ up on the Bay and see what happens.

about it . Its a           I guess i am just kinda nervous about everything . Like getting to the point to where i have to sell & go through the process of getting haggled down and frustrated . I hate selling stuff , seems to be that the end of the world is near and all of a sudden my stuff is worthless but as soon as the buyer obtains it , its auction gold lol .
If you go back to my first post on the site , there are pics up but not accurate as to what ive got now . THe car was rebodied but i was able to obtain the original shell and keep the car correct and original to the description above . I am having my friend just hang the doors & front clip & place the the engine & trans in place so if when and if its sold the less imaginative have somethin to look at .
So right now i guess m just looki               I got hurt @ work , lost my job on top of it , ended up with 15 k after the lawyers & doctors got done shakin me down & got enough to feed & house my family for another year @ best , almost lost my marraige on top of it . I dont want to get the point of have to sell....So i guess selling would be most accurate . I have never bought or sold anything on ebay & any mopar stuff i have sold has been of necessity to take care of my family . Would keep it all if possible , ive got a couple a body's lyin around so they would definetly be sold 1st . So this isnt any kind of bs sob story , just airing my thoughts in moparland.
n for rough guesstimates based on the description above , i know worthless without pics lol . Its a rare beast and most likely not replaceable for me , i just dont want to shoot myself in the foot like sell it for 20k & see it 2 weeks later for 40k . I know ive got to leave meat on the bone if a flipper buys it , just want to be reasonable mopar to me not an investment , its my car and i love it & hope i can keep it , i appreciate everyones input .

thanx tan top , thats the link from my first post with pics

Lord Warlock

I wish you luck, and hope things work out for you.  Like yourself, i've been out of work for a year now, a few nibbles but no bites or offers.  Economy has not been one to generate corporate growth and investment, which limits my opportunities in software development testing.  Like yourself i've reached a point where i have to consider selling one of my toys to generate support toward keeping the household intact, luckily I don't plan on selling the charger as i've spent a good chunk of time this year fixing it up to be presentable should i decide to get it on the road next year.  The 91 stealth however, a car i've owned since 93 is looking more and more like it will have to go.  Hate to sell it as i'll have to take a hefty loss on it after its rebuild 5 years ago, but priorities demand something be done, and I can live without that particular car, the charger however i am still too attached to consider selling it.

Hope things get better for you, and you don't have to take the drastic step you're considering.

In restored condition maybe....

If its in the shape as your pics in that link suggest, I'd say 12-15k only because of the color...buggered up rear quarter VIN and poss non-match trans will bring it in at the lower end...

Wait.....now you're saying the car was re-bodied?   Yikes.  Sorry to hear you might have to sell.  Good luck hopefully you can pull it out & keep the car

Ebay will be your friend. The crazies might go wild on it you never know.

I'd tend to think in the 15k neighborhood too.

Floors look good.

fm3 70 rt

I purchased it knowing it was rebodied , however i obtained the original car then removing all the original components off the rebodied shell & trading off the 70 500 body . the driverside qtr was replaced completely  removing the trunk rail vin in the process . The core support #s , dash vin and fender tag along with motor #s match . The car is legit and tagged in my name , no funny business or scammin'

fm3 70 rt

probably already mentioned but ive got the buildsheet also.....

hawkeye

after looking at the pictures i've got to admit these cars even look good pink. :2thumbs:

If the car is not restored (some buyers would prefer it), I would value it at $10,000.00 to $15,000.00.

If all possible, keep the car.

So..are you selling the original fm3 body?

If so it's not a rebody anymore.

fm3 70 rt

Yes the original fm3 body is what i have , with all the components that were removed from it that are listed in the above post as mentioned . I am doing my absolute best not to sell . Anything else will go first . I was just trying to get a rough value & some opinions as what some others may think what its worth market wise in case i decided to sell , which is something i will avoid as much as possible .
I have some a body projects that will go down the road 1st before the charger goes anywhere . The guy i bought the car from had a body shop do the rear qtrs on it and did not like the work that was done & purchased a 70 500 body and removed the front clip , doors and interior from the pink car and put them on the 500 body . He had the original motor in his garage . I purchase the car knowing it had been rebodied but in a twist of fate found the original shell that the parts were taken off of and was able do get it .

Assuming you can eventually do the assembly yourself, but that paint and bodywork will be done by a shop - I'd say that you are about -$25,000 from having a complete car with a value of +$40,000.  Seems like you might get $8-10,000 for it as it sits now.
