What exactly constitutes the "deluxe" seat belt option?

always thought ( guessing )  it was front & rear shoulder belts on 68 model year cars  &   rear shoulder belts on 69 & later !!     :shruggy:

I only have been able to find record of it from 1970 on.  (I'm out of town though and relying on limited resource material)

I think deluxe seat belts were color keyed.

According to this guy, they are part of the  Special Sound Insulation package

Which seems odd but even so doesn't help with the physical difference about them.

I personally wouldn't mind a breakdown of all the packages these cars came equipped with.

On the data book page I posted above it is shown as one of the "New for 1970" items, so I would say you are correct about being 70 and on.

:2thumbs: good find thanks for posting

would like to see a 70 with the delux set up ,  wonder where the seatbelt warning lamp went ,  may be in  gauge cluster next to the high beem on warning lamp ??
bit of clever marketing  on seat belt clips on seats & outer rectractors , thought all second generations got those as standard equipment ,  unless they made them an option along with the clock , buckets  etc , to lower the price on the base model :shruggy:
