Correct color for disc brake spindle and backing plate?

Can anyone tell me what the correct color of a 1969 Dodge B body disc brake spindle would be?  I am not sure if it is supposed to be semi flat black or natural steel color?  Same for the backing plates for the same vehicle?  I have seen the backing plates gloss black and semi flat black.  Which would be the correct color for that as well?

The spindle or knuckle should be natural cast iron. They were heat treated, so it should have a blackish tinge to it. If you use a cast iron paint that should be close enough for a driver vehicle.
On my '70, the backing plates were gloss black. I have also seen them cad or zinc plated.
