Folks quote ebay all day long how they saw a car go for X amount, but in reality the winning bidder most of the time just backs out.  Its been awhile, but this car sold on ebay, but buyer did not come through and now seller is asking me again if I wanted at a cheaper price.

Have you seen it? Was it a true 68 383 4spd car? Is it total crap? Was it a Green car?  :D

Assuming the car isn't a total pile... Truth of the matter is the seller is pissed now and wants the thorn in his side gone. I don't know where the 2 of you were at but dollars to doughnuts if you put 75% of where you were under his nose in cash, I can almost guarantee it will be yours.   :Twocents:

I talked to the owner... It is not an original 4 speed car. He called me back since i had contacted him during the auction. He said the "buyer" was trying to run some overseas scam on him.

I don't think its a factory 4spd car.   I'd be worried about rust.

If someone doesn't take the time to do some cleaning prior to selling, there are more issues that what they say.   I can't stand sellers like that.   :flame:

Offer then $8k and see what happens.  :2thumbs:

From Missouri?  Maybe THATS Stroker's Charger?

F8-4life

if its not an original 4 speed then its naturally just "another 68 charger", and the fact that he presented it as a 4 speed in the first place would have me questioning his integrety as a seller.

He has a 1970 383 car that is "restored" he is also sell. It is a column shift car. The pictures of it looked good. I am just not looking right now for a 1970.

someone said the same thing to me, but man it be offensive dont ya think.  I mean as a seller you dont blindly put a price on something liket his.  you put a price up and then you know deep down you can some leaway by a couple grand or so, but now half?

Either way I emailed him told him I been asking around and based on feedback and PMs Im told is a 8k to 11k max car.   I told him this see what he saids...

oh. he's THAT guy.  :brickwall:  Well he will enjoy his nicely repainted charger for a long time. When I first saw the pics I thought "looks like a decent starting point for a restoration"  16k is way overpriced.

skip68

I'd say that car's in the $12k range.  Then again, I don't like what we can't see under the carpets and trunk.   Need some pics from under the car.   :Twocents:

With that many pictures on ebay and no broad side or fender well shots, there's likely something there you don't really want to see.
