I'm not fighting it or arguing with you, I stated flatly that everyone is to blame.  Yes, cheaper will always win because we all think that our one contribution doesn't matter.  Whether its buying at Wal Mart (or AMD ironically  ) or flinging our cigarette butt on the ground, each one adds up and we all do it.  Its as plain and simple as that.

I will admit that I shop at Wal-Mart but, I have to admit that not everything is cheaper at Wal-Mart.  I think the appeal of Wal-Mart is the one stop shopping.  But, if the US was to buckle down and buy our own stuff, China would just copy our stickers and place them on thier products.  For the record, I'm seeing a lot more stuff from Malaysia and India.  China is no longer the bottom feeder.  Their economy is growing.

The US manufacturing industry is gone because the exact same forces that created it in the first place just continued to work.  The small and medium size towns across the USA originally got those factory jobs a couple generations ago because it was cheaper labor than companies could get in the larger US cities.
