OK, let me start by saying I'm not trying to start a religious war. I'm just trying to get a sensible, rational understanding of what these people really think.  

   We've all heard the saying that terrorists get 72 virgins or whatever when they die right?    So, what happens after that?  Then what?  Last I checked I'm pretty sure your ding dong doesn't go with you.   Just sayin.  

Just looking for some rational explanation.

I don't think you're going to get a rational explanation.  For the people of that  religion to have no respect for other religions, I believe they do not fully understand thier own religion.  No matter what religion it is, it's supposed to encourage peace and harmony in yourself and in the world around you.  But, for a person to blow themselves and innocent people around them just so they can have some sexual enjoyment, in my book, they shouldn't have that pleasure.  The real pleasure is in the life of us and the people around us.



On another note, throwing a hissy fit and killing innocent people because they show a picture of Muhammod is just stupid.  Just because it defies your religion does not justify killing anyone.  Having respect for one's own voice will give you respect for your own beliefs.

Seriously I don't think most people of that ilk truly believe 100% in their own religion... if those dudes TRULY believed that they'd be instantly transported to a paradise stocked with a private reserve of young, pristine never-aging ass, there'd be a line out the door at the dynamite store.

I understand that it's only Catholicism that believes that God/angels/spirits are genderless. Most Christians generally believe that gender is an eternal assignment (which accounts for most Christian's disapproval of gender reassignment surgery). Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) believe that gender is equally eternal so much so that those faithful Mormons will be allowed to conceive children in Heaven. Muslims also believe that gender remains with your soul when you die. Personally, I'd rather not be a Ken doll in heaven.

I think the idea of 72 virgins sounds a lot better when you're a 15yo male virgin about to die.  You are a virgin yourself.  And your equipment is ready to get busy about 7 times a day.
