Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

That's sort of why I want to see it again.  Same way with Mount Rushmore.  Pike's Peak made me scared of heights though.

That was pretty amazing. The scale of the thing thing is crazy.

Are you over your fear?

Yes and No.  I can stand on a roof all day long with a 7/12 pitch 3 stories high and be alright.  My feet have to be on something solid.  I can't walk rafters.  Never been up in an airplane yet.  Did help build one though thinking I might get a ride.  We did taxi down the runway and felt ok.

We call them bumper cars :2thumbs:

We call them dodgem because the idea is to dodge not bump the other cars. Erika can't seem to (or just simply doesn't want to) comprehend that. She does behave herself after she gets told off by the attendant but until then...........she's a maniac!

If the idea is to dodge cars, I don't think I want to be on the public roads then.  Are these dodgem cars like the ones at a carnival or fair that are electric and run on a steel platform?  Usually, there is about 8 cars total and they are 2 seaters.

Does she just seem to enjoy whiplash, or is it the thought of letting go of some inner roadrage?

I couldn't say. I only know she always insists on doing the driving and once behind the wheel she's transformed into this thing that seems to be possessed by some inner demon and she laughs hysterically.   :shruggy:

I grew up in Belgium so technically this is the my favorite place outside of the country I used to live in...
Ok that's confusing.

I like Austria, Switzerland and northern Italy best I think, it's the mountain air.  Nothing like it.

I've got to agree with you Dino, I was born in Austria and nothing beats the sheer magic of the granite mountains soaring skyward.  But I also love the immense beauty of Sedona, Arizona.  Too many gorgeous places to speak of.
Mrs. Fred.

Yep, those mountains made me feel like I was just another little lifeform on this huge rock of ours and you know what?  I was totally fine with that.  There's a sense of peace and calm that comes over you when you are among those giants.  Can't wait to visit the Rockies!

Oh and nice to meet you Mrs. Fred!
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Boy, reading these makes me wish I could afford to travel. I never been out of the U.S. except only in Canada near Toronto. Would love to see Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Ireland, England Britain, and the Netherlands.

Just got back from 5 weeks in Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand.

Could live in any of them but especially New Zealand.

Onya. Did you see Queenstown NZ? (take the cable car up to the top)  What a beautiful part of the world that is.

Oh, we sure did. We loved Queenstown. Did the cablecar to the top of Bob's Peak and I was signed up to do the para-gliding off the top when the winds changed and they closed for the day.

That's a shame. Did you get in some white water rafting down the Shotover river? Man, that is fun.

Nope. we did the jetboat on the Dart river and the kayaked down. Guide said, "The water is 7 degrees celcius" (47F) I said, "Will it get any warmer?". He said, "nope. It was an 18,000 year old glacier 12 hours ago. This is as warm as it gets" Then he filled the pitcher and we had it with lunch.

I'd pick the Dart river trip over Shotover anyday, goes right up through Glenorchy and a bit more of a leisure cruise.
Great part of the country summer or winter  :2thumbs: The West Coast road down the South from Nelson is my favourite drive anywhere.
