I was digging through some of the stuff from my grandparents the other day and came across this vehicle registration from 1939. This was my great grandmother.

Pretty cool, but wasn't $7 a little much back then?

areibel

That's pretty cool that it survived!
Must have been some car with a whopping 24.3 HP!

But doesn't it seem like we pay a little much still now?

$50 in Misery for two years, not bad.  I don't like having to go through the inspection everytime though.

I have antique plates, $10.00 a year, no inspection or emissions.

This is for regular tags, don't know price on antique tags.  All I know is you buy the antique tags and that is it.  No more anything.  Your just limited on how much you can drive.

The $10.00 a year is for personalized antique tags, never was told about limited mileage. I was told though I could drive the Charger to car shows, parades or on Sunday. But, everytime I drive it, I'm parading it. One car show would take me 500 miles round trip.

How many miles a year are you limited to?

I'll find out tomorrow, got to get the daily inspected and tagged. :eek2:

When I got the tags for my 73 it was $50 for 50 years. You're only supposed to drive it to or from shows. I show it to a lot of different people at work though.  :yesnod:

That's my thoughts, everytime I drive it.

Blanche is a name you don't hear of today. Thank goodness.   ;)

if i remember right, the historic mo. tag is $25.00 and is good forever.  i think the mileage limit is 1000 a year and you are supposed to keep a log.  never have to have inspected again.

yup and they send you a milage card like you suppost to keep track , but in the 15 years i've had mine no one has ever come looking to get the miles checked and you never have to have your car inspected anymore so its a moot point   Oh and i think my log says 2000 miles a year  must just be a suggestion   :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

I guess I am lucky. Arkansas has no inspection bull shit and antique tags are $8.00. And you only pay that one time.  I know that cause that's what I had on my 77 ford when I was 15. Lol
1969 Charger 383/auto
1969 Charger R/T 440/auto (waiting to be restored)
1972 Chevelle SS clone 383 sbc
1959 Chevy Apache short bed stepside
1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.
