Another Carpet Question

I just finished looking at a bunch of pics I've kept of 3rd gen interiors.  Driver front carpet, the heel pad ... isn't is supposed to be UNDER the heel.  Some are all over the place, some as far back as a couple inches from the seat!
Anyone got a pic of what is supposed to be correct?   :popcrn:
