I, also, believe it to be a 121K car instead of a 21k car.  It must have been kept outside most of it's life and driven in winter on salted roads to get the rust damage evident. With an evident repaint in it's past, and all the bondo showing, why would anyone suggest just keeping the Charger as it is now for posterity? It probably has a lot more bondo and rust on it than you can see at first glance.

To all saying it is being sold by a flipper, it might be but, in the ad it states it is being sold by the estate! If it is being sold by "the estate", I am betting they would take less than the 20K it is advertised as wanting.

They just said the asking price was 20k, doesn't mean thats what they'll get.  A 21k car with an accident history from a teen driver could easily have rotted out over the years.  Didn't see a closeup of the odometer, a rolled one can usually be identified if the digits don't line up right.  Does seem a bit pricey in that condition but could be made nice again, not sure i care much for the color combination, never been fond of red, sorry guys, had a red interior on a daily driver for 9 years...got sick of seeing red.

You know the car is original when you see those side bump strip things.

How common are painted scallops? was it ever a factory option? don't see many.  Lots of old folks liked those mouldings down the sides to protect from dings, never worked for me.  Imagine the dealer installed lots of em as an extra cost item.

The painted door scallops are an add on, not a factory thing.

I like the somewhat mono paint scheme, especially the red interior.   :hah:  :icon_smile_wink:

I'd be afraid to dip or blast that rig.   ;)

My Charger had pinstripe detail around the door scallops when I got it back in 1976.  I just figured the original buyer had the dealer put them on.
