I guess they wanted the el camino look without the name?

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

PocketThunder

That thing is awesome, the back doors still open.  I'd buy that sucker, weld up those back doors and finish the look.

I bet it would tow like nobody's busness.  It would make a great fishing car.

Back seat looks a little cramped...

If that thing was close to me I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat...I like "different".
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

If I remember correctly, There were a few cars like that built to haul flowers to the graveyard from the funeral home.

Okay for Hobbits and/or dogs.  (and possibly mother-in-law) :yesnod:  :icon_smile_big:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

greenpigs

I second welding the rear doors up making a work "truck" out of it.

Big time burnouts are an added plus...any idea what motor it would have? 440?

I'd drive the hell out of it! I bet on the roads people would clear out or let you by just based on the fact that your driving what they think serial killers drive. Haha .

That's what I was thinking. Interesting car.

Thats pretty ugly for a flower car though isn't it?  And in white with the rear doors still in place?  I think that's a homemade job. :shruggy:

JB400

Throw a camper shell on the back of it and it could be the hearse :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

It didn't have to be pretty, Just functional.  It might be a homemade job, but the bed looks to "finished" to be homemade.   :Twocents:

I'm with John on this one, If it were close by I'd snach it up just because it's unique.

No way that is a factory flower car. Its a hackjob for sure. A legit one would not have 2 extra doors of course! Flower cars also seemed to be mostly gm (caddys with the occasional buick or olds thrown in)

Tilar

I don't know that there ever was such a thing as a "Factory" flower car, I think they were all done afterwards.  And it could easily be a hack job, I just mentioned that it looked like some of the flower cars I've seen in the past. There is a guy up the road that just sold a Pontiac hearse from the early to mid 70's.

I don't think they even have them anymore do they? I know the funeral home around here doesn't, they just put a few in the trunk of one car and take them to the cemetary and tell you if you want any of the rest of the flowers that you need to take them.

F8-4life

Like everything else cool and individulized, flower cars are a thing of the past. On that note Im almost suprized they still make hearses even. In this day and age were $$ is king and respect fr your fellow man is at the curb... It would be much easeir to just use a delivery van for transport.   And your right the flower cars were most likley done off sight by a aftermarket coach builder. I would still consider those factory though but

Ghoste

Even the hearses are much less distinguished (and distinguishable) than they were not so very long ago.

Ram07

They still make them...

found this on too.

Ghoste

And it has four doors!  Interesting.

Tilar

That Imperial looks very similar to the one in the ad.

I saved the pics for after the ad goes away...
