Thanks guys...and thanks for helping pay my salary! I have a couple of things going but I'm really, really warming up to the idea of not working again! might teach a college class or two or maybe be a sub. Not working is great!

Hi Guys, I'm not really trying to make this a "me me" thing as much as simply reflecting back on the choices we make in our lives and where it leads.

So, 18 months on the "outside" and things couldn't be better. I've been flying SAAB 340's (little turbo props) for an outfit up here in Anchorage for about a year now...fun gig. Pay is awful, but with that E-9 retirement it's fine. 3 days on, one day reserve and 3 days off. All the free soda and chips I want and can jumpseat on any airline anywhere for free. I spent Aug down in Hawaii, we had a contract down there (Honolulu-Maui- Molokai- Kauai) brought the Mrs and we had a ball! Back to the cold now though, oh, if anyone watches "deadliest catch" that's us going into Dutch Harbour.

Again all thanks to the sage advice from DC.com :2thumbs:

Glad you are happy , personally I cannot sit still for long , doing nothing would kill me LOL , You can always fly down to Panama if you want to get out of the cold for a while !

Fred

That's pretty much a dream job even with the bad pay.  :2thumbs:
