Melissa and I are planning to fly out sometime after tax season (Marie is a certified tax accountant) and help sort Marie thru the mountain of Charger parts Steve had collected. I'm setting up my Gauge Doc booth at Spring Fling this year and figured we could sell some of the useful stuff to other Mopar enthuisiastists...

Marie has taken "Big Red" out several times by herself! I'm so proud of her...Manual steering, brakes and a 5 speed manual...not for the faint of heart...:)

Mark
That's cool! :2thumbs:

Absolutely!

Here some pics of Steve's and my Charger from the summer he took his Route 66 trip.  I got to meet up with Steve and Marie, good people.  It was record heat that day, hottest in 40 years, 102 and wind was blowing about 30mph, real nice day!  Steve's car was running about 230-240 deg.

Great pixs and great to hear marie has been out in BIG RED> :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :cheers:DJ

Anyone know how Steve's wife Marie is doing? I hope she and Big Red are moving on with life in a positive way!

Went on an old thread of skips (2009 i think) the other day, and there was an erie post from Steve. After what happened and then reading that post yesterday it just bothered me immensly.  :rotz: Dont want to name the thread, but if you want to know, pm me. Might help to get another of his friends perspective.

Marie is a FaceBook friend of mine, so I see her postings all the time. I believe she is doing as well as anyone could be doing. Actually better than most.

My girlfriend and I saw Marie yesterday, actually she found us.  It was wonderful to see her and share some of her energy and verve.  She drove all the way over from Sacramento to see her old friends and it was a great experience for us.  Kim

I thought I would update everyone. Marie and I had a long conversation yesterday, and she's doing great.  :yesnod:

She's doing well with her work, her finances, and life in general. She was able to keep the house and pay the bills, and has moved on with her new life in many ways. I think that she has adjusted in a very healthy way, and I told her so. She is in good spirits and has a fine outlook for the future.

She has had "Big Red" out numerous times thru the summer. Marie is quite proud that she has learned to handle the 5 speed, with no power steering and no power brakes. Her exact words: "I get it, you guys and Mopars". And even more proud of replacing the fuel pump (with some help). That's awesome. She has no plans to sell, though she had one very attractive offer. Maybe one day.

Marie says hi to everyone. She intends to do more shows next year, so we'll all see more of her in the future.  :2thumbs:
