Marie, Steve's wife, asked me to post a note regarding his very untimely passing. He was a good friend, fun to be around, infectious with his enthusiasm regarding Chargers and a positive influence on this board. I liked his positive attitude and enjoyed the photo journals of the trips he and Marie took about the state and country. He will be missed.

There is a planned memorial Saturday, Nov 10th, up in the Sacramento area. I will post additional information when I know. Thanks, and say a prayer for Marie.

That's shocking news.  He and his wife always had great stories about their adventures.  He will be missed, not just from this bbs but from the shows they always attended.  Kim

Marie called me as well. I posted the very sad news on the 66-67 Charger.com website. I met Steve and Marie at the 45th Charger reunion at Auburn Hills last summer. And we met up at Spring Fling in Van Nuys this past May. I helped him change out his starter on his Charger in the hotel parking lot!  Melissa and I are still in shock. Could not have met a nicer man who would do anything for his friends. We are planning on flying from PHX to attend his memorial on the 10th....so damn sad...

Sad to hear. Meet him at Mats a few years ago and spent the better part of the day with him. What a great guy and a horrible loss. Prayers out to the family.
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend
"That's us in 10 years".
He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

Same here.
We met Steve at the 40th and had a wonderful weekend with him and Marie at the 45th in Detroit.
I am in shock as well.  Our prayers to Marie and his family.

No way! He was always one of the nice guys on the board, and when I got to meet him in person at the Spring Fling a few months ago, he lived up to it.  Man, this is incredibly sad. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family.

This is entirely so sad as i knew Steve from a few car club cruises and he was always such a fun a social person. Any updates on what caused his sudden demise??   :'   Here is Steve in his Charger next to my roadrunner on a trip we took in 2011 (

This is truly horrible and shocking news. I'm having a hard time getting my head around this and believing he is gone. I'll restate what everyone else has said, Steve was a truly great guy and one of the nicest guys you could meet. I had the honor of talking to him over the years. I also had the pleasure of meeting him at the MATS show in Vegas in 2010 and drooling over his stunning Charger. I'm in complete disbelief right now. His passing really shows life is too short and to treasure every day because you never know when it will be your last. Rest in peace buddy.....may you enjoy the sunny days and cruising the Charger up there with the big guy. I'm going to miss you....
