This was a Nitto post on facebook - thought it was one sleek looking beast.

That is very nice, but the new Challengers need a body line to break up that thick bloated look :Twocents:

:iagree: The wheels/tires ruin it for me. (especially the cambered-in Volkswagen looking fronts)
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Ugly. I don't like the wheels at all. :eek2:

Wicked looking.  I like it except for the wheels and WTF with the side mirrors?  The low stance is cool, and the front grill!

Now thats one badass modern day 'CHARGER' I mean challenger  :eyes:

I would still take the cult challenger:

plum500

Damn this is a tough crowd to please. :) I am not one for big wheels...but this car is all modern.

I agree about the fat sides though... they took all the lower tuck out and made them too flat when they went from concept to production.

I picked up a 11 Challenger SRT this summer and have been enjoying it for a few months now. I have to say it is a fun car to drive.  :yesnod: I love my Charger, and the two cars can't be compared except they both are a blast to drive, just very different.

I would agree completly, both my 70 Challenger vert and Daytona clone are cool cars but they are different cool than the 09 SRT Challenger.

the stance on that thing is badass. Not a big fan of the blacked out grill tho...makes it look too camaro-ish.

But driving it that low would be a PITA. I have a 1.75 drop on mine and sometimes its a chore driving around certain places.

What do you guys mean the wheel / tire combo sucks? You can't even see what the wheels look like. Or is this a case of wheel size-ism? automatically hate them cuz theyre big? I think it looks awesome. The camber is gonna be an issue whenever you drop a car that much, but some camber kits may help with it.

Grille reminds me of my blacked out 68 Charger, back in '72.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I dunno. I think apples and oranges. This is a modern car... with styling related to the classic, but the application is still completely modern. I hate rubber bands on old cars, but done right on a new car like this... filling up the wheel well, right stance, with some truly nice rims in proportion to the modern styling... that's different...  :Twocents:

Its supposed to be that way buddy and trust me, your turn is coming.  Pop culture is always meant for a specific generation and nothing is more ridiculous than someone not of that generation trying to participate.  My post should read to you exactly as it did because that is how it is.  And whether you believe it or not, it is how its going to be for you too sooner than later. ;)

Well I hope I'm not that.  I might sound that way sometimes but its more how it comes across in this format and in this case my only point was really just to show that its normal for me to be out of touch with what someone else would define as pop culture (keeping in mind of course that within my demographic, what is "pop" is very different).  I'm open to anything but even if like the lyric or melody, a 20 year old black man from LA is not writing music for or about my life experience as a middle aged white guy in the rural midwest.  And THAT is normal and natural for us all.

is it? I have nothing in common with a middle aged guy from Arkansas who grew up in the post-Depression era, but Johnny Cash is one of my favorites. The Rolling Stones had nothing in common with 50 year old black bluesmen from Chicago and the Deep South, and we know how that turned out. Im always open to stuff too...I may or may not get it, but if it's a good tune and I can see some sort of artistic merit (not that Im some type of critic), Ill give it a shot and won't automatically put it down because it belongs to a genre I am not all that familiar with in the first place.

I'm not saying you're one of those guys, but there are quite a few of those here *cough* Cooter *cough*.

Oh I fully agree with all of that Ponch.  What I was trying to say there was that it wasn't being written for or about my "comfort zone" so if I don't get it, thats okay.  BUT I should be open to any art form first because I still might like it.  I might not get but I might like, and best of all, I might like it AND get it.
I think we are saying exactly the same thing to each other in a somewhat different way.
