Whenever I drive my 73' and give it some juice the back end tends to get away from me like it sways heavely. I havn't driven it in months because of all the work im doing on it but if anybody can hel me out that would be great. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do to fix it that would help a lot too.

My first guess would be to say that your rear spring bushings are shot.  The rear spring bushings take all the loads from the axle during acceleration, if they are weak they will deform when you give it the gas causing the rear axle to move out of square making the car feel like it has rear wheel steering.  Check if those rear bushings have any play in them, check your rear shackle bushings at the same time.  If they are worn replace with grarphite impregnated urethane and the rear will track like it is on rails!
