It's that time of year that I dread when I have to to start thinking about putting the Charger away.
Work is picking up so I'm putting it away this weekend but had to stretch it's legs one last time

Anyone else getting ready for winter?

bakerhillpins

Yep,  :'( :'( :'(

Mine is scheduled for Nov 3rd.  I _almost_ took her to work today but things got away from me as the Mrs is out of town on business and I just didn't get through the family stuff fast enough. I am thinking of calling up a local Pontiac guy to see if I can check out his barn of Ps and maybe take a cruse this weekend before she goes off but it's already looking like my time is all used up.  :'(

I keep mine at home so it just becomes a point when I have to accept that this season is over.  Not there yet but its closing fast!

Maybe, just maybe one more cruise up to the lake this Sunday. Calling for sun/cloud mix with a high of plus 2 C.
If not that will be it for the year, and in the heated garage she will stay until spring.

I'll stay here in Misery, lucky if it snows twice all season long.

We got 6" last night. Guess I'm with ya'll. I brought her home to free up shop space for that purple duster.. Which by the way got sprayed again. Now it's on to wet shoes for awhile. Bye bye summer. Lets hope next year I'm not laid up in constant pain.  :eek2:

Mine are stored at home & have insurance on them all year. As long as the weather is nice & no snow in Mich. I drive mine as long as I can. I have driven mine in Nov, Dec, Jan & in Feb before. Usually, get them out as early as I can too.

Mi is nasty for snow and salt man..used to live in battle creek and all cars there are rusted after roughly 5 years of daily driving.

Not if you rinse the salt off from time to time.  Our 10 year old CR-V just passed 100K miles and not a spec of rust anywhere.

I have a storage unit booked starting December 3rd but since it's around the corner of where I live I'll be sneaking it out of there as much as I can as long as ice and snow are not covering the roads.

I drove mine to work again this morning in the pouring rain and I love it!  This is an awesome ride rain or shine.  I'll go to the no touch car wash tonight to get the mud off.  It's all in the maintenance.

I did move variable speed wiper mod a little closer to the top of the list though.   :icon_smile_big:

If anyone doesn't want to store their baby and want to give them a vacation down south in New Orleans, I'll gladly take care of it, give it a good temporary home out of the elements and drive it often!  :D

Yep, dreading putting it away for the season but I think this weekend will be it here to, plus I noticed today here in central/North WI  they already sprayed calcium chloride on the bridges.. in prep for the ice and snow.. All it takes is damp or wet conditions and that stuff will make your car rust faster than regular salt. Oh well, give me a chance to save alittle for up grades in the spring!

It was like 70 degrees  here today  or 21 celcius . I got home and went for a great ride but ended up at the casino lost 200 $$  should have kept driving instead of stopping there..They sure do drive nice and fast when its cooler weather. gonna miss her , I will have to take a video of a good burnout  before she  goes to sleep;

Brightyellow69rtse

im taking her out tomorrow for a bit i hope. ll drive it till they salt the roads. after that shes done till after winters over and its rained many times to wash the salt away.

Live in California... Drive it all year long

Where I live in Central California low is about 30* in the mornings... Gets up to about 40-50 during the day and no snow at all so I can usually still drive it as long as it's not raining.
