Broken leaf spring

I broke my left leaf spring the other day and now the car is uneven with the left side lower than the right.  The main spring with the eye is ok it's one of the others that's broken. I can get the spring replaced locally, and they will re arch the spring set while replacing the broken spring. If I do this with the re arching will the car sit uneven now that the right spring has 44 years of settling and now the left is fresh?

Thanks Lawrence

In my opinion, if your going to have one rearched, why not go ahead and get both rearched?  If it was me though, if I'm breaking leaves, I'd just buy replacement springs.  They broke for a reason; they are worn out. Maybe just rearch for a temporary fix, but save up and buy some new ones. :Twocents:

Stroker 400,

I can't disagree...the reason I am considering this route is because I may sell the car.

The car has a very nice strong 440 in it and it may break another spring...you are right. I priced out a original style repro spring for $459, and Hotchkis for $539. The Hotchkis will lower the car 1 inch which probably looks good but if I replace springs I will go with original style repros probably. Year one is who I priced out any other suggestions? I would like to put factory style RT springs in if I go that route.

Jegs has them for $110 a piece plus shipping.  They are from Mopar Performance.  Whether or not that is the best springs to get, I don't know, but I'm sure someone else on here does.  If your just going to sell it, that might be the route I would go with.  From a performance standpoint, I would consider the Hotchkis springs.  Best of luck :2thumbs:
