I am on my 5th one since April. This is getting old! Each has leaked out of the back or side ports or the threads were not right so the line fitting  would not thread. Last night I bench bled it & left it overnight. In the morning half the fluid leaked out of both side ports....10-1475 part #. Anyone else have these issues??? Thanks TC

yup!  A-1 Cardone absolutely blows!  I quit using them years ago when I had to replace my power steering gear box and had to replace it 3 times before I got one that either did not leak or did not have any excessive play.  I learned the hard way that the only thing that A-1 Cardone does is spray and pray!  Meaning, they replace one part that they think is bad vs. replacing all the moving parts or seals and put it back together, give it a quick coat of blue or black paint and let the new owner worry about it.

You are better off with a place that actually rebuilds specialized stuff like master cylinders and calipers or whatever specialized part you need to have rebuilt.  FYI - Apple Hydraulics is horrible also to deal with!

How long have you had it in there?  Ive found it usually takes about a month for them to start leaking!

had  A1 &  raybestose  master cylinders  !!    they are crap ,  :yesnod:  i've fitted hundreds over the years never had problems , till i used a A1 cardone brand on the charger  ,  2 were crap , then got  raybestose ( spelling ) make  they were crap too  , finaly got one to bleed propperly , they were all sucking air  ,  , but never liked the style , so found a Dorman manufactured one , that was almost identical to OEM , from summit , only thing is the holes for the studs are slightly bigger,  easily fixed though  & the lid different , but easy swapped with my original  :yesnod: ,

Thats great if you have a drum brake car.     Us few with original power disc brakes either have to have ours rebuilt or go the spray and pray route with A1.  You know which one I will be doing when I need to get mine rebuilt!   :nana:

If you are buying any reman part from a parts house chances are good it's been remaned by A1 Cardone. They are the only rebuilder of alot of things in the aftermarket. They are the biggest by far. And yes, Everything they rebuild sucks!
I may be schizophrenic but at least I have us!

Bought a new one from Baer Brakes, we'll see how long it'll last.

Pretty much everything I've gotten done by cardone was junk. I got a windshield wiper motor for my 80's ram, and the damn thing shocked me when I touched it. I was watching it arc off the firewall. I wish I took video of it. I returned it and they said they have a bunch of problems with their rebuilds. They gave me a different one and now I have intermittent wipers at random intervals two months later. I am not happy.  :flame:  I have no idea what to do now. Maybe I'll try to adapt a ford motor in there with a 6 way switch.

That's great.   I just put on a set of their re-man'd calipers during my resto.

Should I save myself the hassle and pull them now before I fire up the car this spring?

A1 Cardone has it's share of problems...Look at how many mexicans work there and the volumn that comes in and out.  However,80 percent of the stuff does work and will last.  My 70 Charger Master Cylinder still works with no leaks...3 years now.
