These gas prices in California have been killing me. I used to commute in my Jeep but finally purchased something that gets better mileage and is still fun to drive. It is an 05 Neon SRT-4.

rebby

I broke down on got a commuter earlier this year as well. Went with a Nissan Altima. Nothing great but the price was right and it gets the job done.

here was a real cult following for the SRT Neons.  I don't know if there still is or not but I would not be surprised there if there is.  You'll have to give us a report after you get some seat time.

I know gas prices suck but I can't help it..........I like a full size car.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

I have only put 100 miles on it so far, but it is a lot of fun. It is a fast little fourbanger(never thought I would say that). Hopefully it holds up well. It should get twice the mileage my jeep was getting and I definetly need that finacial relief!  Plus it is still a Dodge! :2thumbs:

What were the differences between the SRT and the ACR versions?

My wife had one, couldn't get it to past emissions each year. Hope you don't have that problem.

Emissions testing has got to suck. My truck would never pass (full EGR and DPF delete as well as other goodies).

So is noise pollution. I had a hell of a job getting the cuda passed but that may have had something to do with the fact that the engineer didn't like sound.

I don't have to worry about inspections or emissions here on my Charger. If the vehicle is older than 40 yrs, I can register it as a antique. Don't other states or countries offer that?

Missouri doesn't have any emissions tests, noise yes.  We also have an antique plates as well. The only problem with that is your limited on your miles and you have to document your miles.

Yes but if you want to drive them they still have to comply with the regulations. You can sometimes bend the rules a little depending who you're dealing with on any given day.
