That car wasn't in too bad of shape for being in the north east it's whole life, must have been stored & especially stored indoors & not driven much in the winters... cool shots...

I'm happy for you. :yesnod:

[actually, I'm [expletive deleted]jealous.]

I have faith......my time will come. Until then,  :popcrn:

Everything's coming along great - has me reminiscing about my build. The color looks great and I'm glad to see it on those tire sizes (esp the rears) because I ordered 245/60/15 f and 275/60/15 r redlines from Diamondback last week - going to do black police wheels with redline dog dish hubcaps for a little different look than the OEM setup.

I never had a chance to put the HEMI on an engine dyno, but we actually tuned it during about 40 miles on a chassis dyno - it made a little over 400whp and 500wtq and only thing that wasn't original to the motor was the cam we used.

I also echo lowered the K member and installing the engine from the bottom - just not worth taking a chance with such a beautiful car you have so much time and money wrapped up in...

Keep it rolling - can't wait to see it all together, getting close!

Good to see you are posting again Brandon and your Charger will look awesome with the new black wheels and tires on it! WE put mine in from the bottom already mounted on the K frame also. Seems to be a lot easier to line up things that way.

Ultimately, it will be the OP's choice of going "thru the top" or mounting the engine on the K frame and lowering the car on the engine but, I bet it will get done successfully, either way!

Been a while since pics have been posted from you, Brandon and new pics on another thread should be in order!

Now, get that Elephant Motor back in your beautiful '68 Charger and continue the fine pics in this thread!

We stopped in at AMD in GA on the way down to pick up a few parts & I have to say that their warehouse full of inventory is very, very impressive and the rep who met us there, Jeff, is a heck of a nice guy....even if he is a GM fan. My engine was completed & dyno'd a month ago,, but we saw my buddy's engine get dyno'd & I do have to sday that it was a great experience to have been able to see that.

Sounds like exciting times for you and your friend watching a dyno pull on his motor! I know it was for me!  Driving all the way down there to get your motors personally sounds like something I would do instead of shipping it.  Mine was rebuilt locally so it went to the shop and back home in my pickup!

I have heard nothning but good things about the people at AMD's corporate offices and warehouse in Georgia.Must have been a nice stop!

Now, get that motor in your '68 and give us some pics, please!

AMD are good people - some of the sheet metal on my car from there and a couple pieces (particularly the roof panel) was prototyped off my car. They have been a godsend for Gen2 charger guys the last several years.

...and as soon as I get my wheels on ill definitely post up new pics - still looks like this today:

(Only exception being a new Optima red battery - my Mopar one swelled up on me and went bad after three yrs of being on the charger)

Same door masking here as well.
I understood the jacking instruction decal was installed on the same side as the jack.
Is that a Canadian car?

not sure  how accurate this is  & just my observations FWIW :shruggy: , all  the original hamtramck second generations ive seen    have jack instructions on the upper left  , & all st louis chargers  have on the lower or upper right side , mainly lower  :shruggy: , having just said this , will be original unrestored  hamatramck charger with it in the lower right on ebay tomorrow or a st louis car on craigslist in the upper left  :slap:  :cryin:

My Original 70 Charger had the Jacking decal (& tire) on upper right. As can be seen by glue residue. Mine is a St. Louis car. LEON.
