Carlisle was great. The car is ok, but one of my power window motors crapped out. Any idea who rebuilds them?

They interviewed me for this website, but so far nothing. Perhaps it was the turban?   :shruggy:

One of those guys was named Fletch & he interviewed me for some Australian tv show that he's associated with & the other was an old memebr of the Ramchargers, although I forget his name.

Know him well. He hosts a show called "Classic Restos" He's tried several times to interview me but I keep disappearing on him. In fact, the minute I see him coming.........I run for the hills.  Did get caught out by the Rodder's mob one time and couldn't get away. They think they know it all when in fact they know very little. I hate it when they're telling ME about MY car and getting it all wrong.  Did have the Cuda featured on the show once.

I introduced myself to him as Dick Hertz from Holden. He didn't catch on and interviewed me under that name.

There is a town in MA named Holden about 40 miles from me. I lifted that from one of the local radio stations that used to make phoney phone calls in the 80's.

On the other hand, people do have strange names and live in strange places. Who is he to question it.  We're not all named John Smith.

Yeah that look he gave is what made me ask that.  :smilielol:  But then again that look Mark gave him was sorta like a kid getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

don't worry your correct instincts kicked in , I run when he's approached me in the past, he interviewed me and filmed my 68 rt triple green car and showed the car for at least 1.25 seconds , time waster, when he has reviewed shows like Carlyle , anyone would think only three cars turned up , more intent in getting his face in front of camera, frustrating when you want to see more of the cars

Does he still wear that silly hat? I haven't watched the show in ages. And you're right..........it's more about him than the cars. And I sure as hell wouldn't let him take a spin in any of my cars.

Hi Mytur,

Looking over your restoration pics, looks like you are doing a nice job  :2thumbs:, let me ask you several questions: Last time I started a restoration was over 20 years ago and I am sure that things have changed since then.  How did you strip the interior floor and under carriage and engine compartment?  Did you sand blast or use some type of stripper, I am sure there was a bit of rust on that under carriage.  And what are you using for a primer?  Are you using that HVLP paint spray system?  I have never used that and understand it is a marked improvement over the old paint spray system which I used and was never really good at it.  If I decide to do my resto, I need to pick someone's brain like yourself as to what they recommend using today.  My first thought was to sand blast till I read that someone used a paint/rust stripper.

I can't answer you because the car was painted long before I bought it.
