Things are starting to move along. So far (and to my surprise), I've been able to find many fasteners and brackets for the car (for far). I think today, I'm going to start to tackle getting the front window assemblies cleaned up and installed. Having the car on the rotisserie is great. Just rotate the car to a comfortable position & istall the parts underneath. Here's a few recent pictures.....

how hard is it to get the car onto a rotisserie?  I'm assuming the car should be stripped  down to nothing?

Ghoste

That is going to be a drop dead gorgeous car Mytur.

I had the Daytona on it last year, so the brackets are already set up, which saves a lot of time. The car has to be about a foot higher off the ground to initially get it attached to rotisserie fiztures. This one has two (removable) hydraulic jacks at each end to jack the car higher up on the rotisserie & once it's at the proper height, just bolt the stems in place & spin away. No rotisserie cannot handle the weight of a complete car. A bare shell is suprisingly light and so far, I've probably only added a couple hundred pounds, at best. I'll get some trim on and the K-frame & front suspension on, then it'll be time to drop it down.

Aren't you glad you hung onto that rotisserie now instead of selling it? It crossed my mind when you listed it but your so damn far away.   :-\

Very nice. And on the road by Christmas :o .
If you have a chance can you snap a couple of pics of your firewall. I'm converting my 68 to non-A/C and would love a couple of reference pics of a naked firewall.

It'll be rolling by Christmas & drivable by spring.

Today, I installed the left side door window assembly & except tor the weatherstrips & inner panels, that door is all set. I also installed the stripes on the quarters. The trunk stripe will go on later after I align it better.

In regards to the stripe, the previous owner had taken some pictures of the original factory stripe (right side) with a tape measure showing the position & that's right where I put it. Note that the marker light is pretty much centered on the stripe & the stripe does not follow the contour of the bumper cutout. BTW, the factory stripe was not in the same position on the left side, but I now have them within an 3/16" of each other. Being as no two factory stripes are alike, I do believe that the intent was to center the stripe on the marker light.

Out of the blue question??? Why is the HEMI wiring harness way more expensive than a 440 wiring harness? Does it have to be longer?

BTW - WOW and amazing on this build. Can't wait the follow this :) Kid in a candy store.

For the simple reason that it's  for a Hemi.  Anything to do with a Hemi you have to pay through the nose for.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Ok, Who was it that had the pic of the blonde that couldn't find her fries because her boobs were in the way? It may be because I'm still working on my first cup of coffee, but for some reason that just seems fitting right now.   :nana:
