Went home this weekend as my dad entered the 68 into a car show for the first time. Didn't have a ton of time to clean her up, but rushed it as best we could and took home a 3rd place best mopar at the show!  :2thumbs: Should've seen the look on my dads face! Was amazing. He was so proud. Had to bring the ol' girl out to Colorado to register it etc, and SO to spare the long story I had to see what the old girl could do on the open road yesterday. She'd never been more then a couple hours from home, and I took her almost 500 miles in about 8 hours! She went straight down the road no issues at all! Temp stayed at 180 the whole trip, oil pressure never moved an inch. Sounds silly, but the trip makes you realize how fortunate we all are to own cars like this. Made a few stops here and there for gas (imagine that!) and the looks, comments, thumbs ups, etc you get, even on the interstate, are just great. Makes you proud to know you have one. Thought I'd share some photos from the show! Enjoy!

VERY COOL.   The video of when your dad saw the car for the first time is still planted in my brain.

I've had a Charger basically for my whole driving life - I never got hooked on driving long distance until the Hot Rod Power Tour.   You are right my man, we are lucky to have one and drive them... :2thumbs:

Did you take any pictures you can share?

working on those pics as we speak! Thanks for the words! It's just amazing to be behind that wheel....to open the garage and see it sitting there. Ya just want to start it and drive it...even if it's just to the gas station to let people see it!

If your not used to this, open up a free account at a website like Photobucket.  Load the photo's and then there is an image code for each photo.  Copy this and paste and your all set.  :2thumbs:

You wasted two pictures of the Charger with a Chevy! :flame: Just kidding.. :D

Now, since you have a Photobucket account, when you click one of the pictures a drop box opens up and select the last option - image code.  You can paste that on a post and the picture will then show up. :2thumbs:

i have been looking at your pic and i see you have a glass or plastic gas filter. If it is plastic plese  change it to glass or alum. the plastic one crack and spray gas all over the moter .

Ghoste

Don't go with the glass ones either, they can break and same thing, gas everywhere.
