That statistic doesn't actually mean 47% don't pay taxes.  It's a very misleading figure.

Everybody pays taxes. Hurrah.  :2thumbs:

I just think we should all stop paying Taxes until the government as a whole get their $h!t together.

That would work just like the truck driver strike back in the 70's did... for about 30 days. Then it would back to the same old crap.

And sadly, the majority of the people think high taxes to support a bankrupt social program and baffling legislation to appease splinter groups who have become good lobbyists and don't care about crippling business are good ideas.  Thats why those type of politicians get elected.

Disagree.

IMHO the majority of the people don't like what either party is doing very much, they just disagree on which evils are lesser.

They can't suck more money from our house taxes so they hit us Californians everywhere else.  The State benefits because a large amount of the gas money goes to them, so there is no reason for them to want lower gas prices.  We have seen the fake shortages everytime we change from "winter blend" to "summer blend" and back again.  Arizona gets California gas and it is usually .60 cents per gallon cheaper there.  It'll come down in the next week to $4.25 and stay there through the election and possibly Thanksgiving.  By then I'll have to sell the Charger to get to work in my regular car :icon_smile_blackeye:

The price of gas here in California will not stop me from driving my Charger!  But it did stop me from filling up on some 100 Octane this weekend ;)
