We had the two Chargers out for a ride this past Sunday. It was beautiful day and my Wife and Son decided it would be a good time for a few photo's with some colorful maples for a background. They kept busy for a half an hour trying to get the perfect photo. After that it was a 60 mile round trip to the closest McDonald's for a little lunch. Both cars ran great. We even managed to get my 84 year old Mom to hop into the 70 for the ride. First ride she has taken in it since it last ran in the mid nineties. Her take on the whole situation "I didn't think I would live long enough to ride in the old purple jet again"...I laughed and told her I was beginning to have that feeling about myself the last couple of years as we slowly made progress to getting it running once more. I imagine the days for such fun rides are growing short in Northern Michigan for another year. Hope you enjoy.

You're always welcome to join me for a SE Michigan fall cruise, although right now it's a bit grey and fall colors are not popping yet, not like UP colors anyway.

Beautiful scenery and beautiful rides, thanks for sharing.   :2thumbs:

Hey Dino,

Thanks for the invite, I'm still trying to get a few issues sorted out on the 70 after its long hibernation. I'm not to comfortable getting to far from home with it yet. Had yet another wiring issue with it the other day, so it will be back to the wiring expert as soon as he returns from vacation on Oct. 22. I had done the under hood harnesses myself last summer and had the main dash harness replaced in early Sept. All seemed to be working well until a couple days ago on a short test ride the fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge and temp gauge all fell to zero. After that they worked intermittently a couple of times. I had immediately headed for the garage, but did notice a small wisp of smoke float up from the steering column near the ignition switch :brickwall:. So back in the garage yet again and its probably done for this year as we had some hail n light snow yesterday...unless the weather turns for the better. Maybe next spring/summer we could meet halfway in between and do some Charger cruising :yesnod:
