Lets do away with the post count.
It's getting so as you can't have any fun anymore without  somebody whining about your rapidly rising post count.
What's the point of a post count anyway? Do we need it?

I don't think we need it, but it does show you how active you are on here.  Maybe a wake up call to some people that have nothing better to do.  But to me, it doesn't matter if it's on here or not.  I'm here for informational purposes and to have a good time with like-minded people.  I'm here for help building my car.  Anyone with a problem with my post count or others does have a problem, and it definitely doesn't involve me.

And yes,I DO OWN A CHARGER :icon_smile_big: :2thumbs: And pics have already been posted :smilielol:

On the r31 forum (I dont own a charger yet, working on it) the post count does limit things;

after;
10 posts you get access to the for sale sections
20 posts allows you to start a for sale thread
50 posts lets you see the build threads
Chrysler and Nissan have one thing in common, they get banned for winning races

nvrbdn

your ranking is set up by your post count also. newby, old timer..etc.

                 id not fret it. everyone uses the site for their own personal preference. some of us just have alot to say. :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

That's interesting. Those rules drive post count.  But why?  Is it part of a long range strategy to monetize a board?   :shruggy:

nvrbdn

i think that is so someone cant come in and use the site to sell their wares without wanting to be part of the group.

Okay, but how does 50 to view a build thread fit in?

nvrbdn

that one i cant understand. the main reason to get on one of these sites would be to learn some tech stuff.

The main idea i think was they wanted only trusted people to look at their build threads, then again this rule was made by the pot smoking state

newbie, tech, general and locational sections were always openly available

Do the build threads contain the "launch codes" or something? :icon_smile_big:

I don't think you'd want to do away with post count because the next time a poster like stroker comes by you're going to wonder how many posts he made in those few short weeks.   :icon_smile_big:

That's generally a good way to get your nose broke ;)

If the mods want to have some fun, they can delete my post count or bump it up to infinity.  It'd save me the time.
