Wiring harnesses problems

Hey everyone! I'm new to the site and its awesome. My problem is that I have headlights no tail lights no dash lights and no lights on my aftermarket tac and oil pressure to. So I went searching around and found that the middle connection on the bulkhead with the main red wire is melted bad and the top and bottom connections on the bulkhead are melted to. I have no clue as to when it happened. I had a similar problem a couple years ago with no tail lights but found that gremlin as it was a bent wire that was grounding out. I have some power to the fuse block but none on the dash light side of it and the fuse is ok. So what do you guys think? It's an old patched up wire harness and just wondering how far the burnt wires went into the dash harness. Any help would be great. I am thinking to bite the bullet and just buy a whole new harness. Thanks

Also bypass the factory amp gauge in the cluster when you install the new harness. I have had a couple of cars over the years have wiring meltdowns caused by the amp gauge.
And repl the turn signal switch assembly.

When I purchased my Coronet, I had one electrical issue after another.  It wasn't charging, the lights weren't working, and on and on.  I F'ed around with it off and on for over a year and still couldn't drive it at night because the alternator (new) couldn't provide enough juice to the car so the taillights would work.  I finally said screw it, bought all new harnesses and my problems are solved.  :nana:   Been enjoying the car since!!!!

Buy new harnesses. :2thumbs:
