Picked up a Lil Red Corvette

I was browsing through the local craiglist ads and I found one car I couldn't pass up... 1979 Corvette L-82 with 43,000 miles, spoiler package, leather seats, and has never been modified. I have always liked this style of Corvette so I ended up walking away with it. It needs a little polishing of the paint and some other little quick fixes but all in all, its the most solid non molested corvette I have seen in a while!

It is sorta hard to find one that hasn't been at least tweaked, with the regular aluminum intake, headers mods.

It looks like a nice car.  I'm not the worlds greatest Vette fan but I'm far from hating them (more of a thing of finding it a pita to get in and out of them).  Congrats!

I tell you what the 84-86 Corvettes are dirt cheap now I have seen several running and driving examples for as low as $2500.00, I don't fit in a Vette being 6'8 300 Lbs.

I have been tall my entire life when I was 13 I was 6'3 with a size 13 shoe, finally stopped at 18 at 6'8 with a size 16 shoe, I can't walk into a shoe store and expect to find shoes!  I order my shoes on-line!! Only sport I care about is football!

I'm close right there with you.  6'7" 250   15W    I had this Vette for a while for the wife to drive.  A little effort to get down in it but the T-Tops gave me head clearance.  The wife loved it being red but I sold it a couple years ago for 3K.  She would like to have another

I had a new 79. I drove it like a Mopar musclecar, I don't recommend that, if you drive it easy it should be okay though. Very poorly built cars, they make a Mopar look like a Rolls Royce in comparison. I liked the way it handled and stopped though.
