I can only imagine the number of small parts that would need to be stored (hoarded) for years in hopes of re-coping your investment.  I'd want to keep records to make sure I got my money back.  I'm not in the business of selling parts, too much time to invest.  Shit, I'd have to erect another building to hold the stuff.

    "I have acquired a very large New Old Stock inventory of Chrysler / Dodge / Plymouth / Mopar / Desoto  parts,  most in factory packaging, all old Mopar.  The dealer I bought this from was in buisness from the 30s thru the early 80s, the vast majority will be  50s 60s 70s . I could post a picture but that would not do any justice as its in boxes and tubs of parts (several full pallet racks worth).  I can say that it filled up a 20 X 8 X 8 trailer to the ceiling and was over 12,500 lbs if that gives you an idea.  When I got it there was a dealer list of parts in a box totaling $383,000  in 1988, so I think there is money to be made on these parts.  I would also like to state that I did not cherry pick these parts as most will do in this situation.  I did see many gauge sets, clocks, taillights, switches.  I did however take 2 random 20 gallon totes and sold about $5000 worth of parts (and it wasn't any of the juicy stuff to say the least).  I sell NOS motorcycle parts and know how this works, I feel I am leaving plenty of room for many $ in profit at my asking price - this just isn't my area of expertise.   
The one picture posted is of the trailer full there is some tires shown I threw them away they where new but but checked. the rest forward in the trailer is boxes and totes full of parts."

Looks like mostly used tires and truck bumpers to me.

3000 transactions & not 1 bad review , sounds legit but it will take work to recover the $$ , start an Ebay store & list everything you may do far better than 2x the $$

That would be a "Hell No" for me. Without an inventory sheet I wouldn't give near that. What he has showing in the trailer is newer stuff, and if there are boxes of gauges and switches, even if they are NOS it's gonna take a hell of a lot of sold gauges to recoup your 50k investment.

It was a hell no for me! I have access to a semi trailer full of NOS Mopar parts from the 70's-80's leftovers from my grandfathers Dodge dealership and its loaded to the gills and you want to know what it's all NOS and it's all for K-cars I think there is a stack of probably 50 steel 2.2 valvecovers, and the 70's stuff is mainly Fury parts or Ram van stuff small parts like seatbelts and etc. sure there is a ton of stuff but it's not desirable. That looks exactly what this clown has from the picture it looks like a bunch of used stuff!

I've been to check out a few stashes of NOS Mopar stuff for sale. All the good stuff is always picked already, you end up with a bunch of K-car stuff or flathead 6 stuff there's a limited market for. The last 5 years has just dried up any sales of stuff I do have anyway. So no.

See the real problem here is Just because it says NOS doesn't mean it isn't some part that was stuck back on the shelves by some dope at the dealer once removed as "Defective" from a brand new car. "Hey? What's this Clock doing here?" "Oh yeah, that musta been ordered by so and so..I'll put it back on the shelf for you sir bossman"...And 35 years later, that POS take off is being sold as an NOS part.

I've seen it too many times before. Parts are "New", they are just "New junk". None work, or if working, only work halfass. Chrome is pitting worse than a part that is a 30 Y/O weatherbeaten piece.

I'd have to see everything before plunking down $50K. Might get $50 worth of K-car parts instead.

Probably not.  I think since it was a filled trailer the Wi guy bought it and dragged it home.  If he was able to get a better deal than $40K and he can sell it for $50K he would only be out his time and cost to go cross country.  He could make a few grand on it but I wouldn't have taken that chance.  Makes you wonder what's in there though.

I've seen mental patient bag ladies that argue with lamp posts in NYC do a better job at taking inventory & packing what's in their shopping cart than whoever packed that trailer.  

Without at least a small sampling list of what he's got, this guy's only chance at selling his trailer full NOS crap piled up without giving a rat's ass, is if he's willing to let someone come empty the trailer to look at it.

Of course scanning & posting the dealer parts list he claimed to have would be too much work compared to emptying the trailer.

Looking at the picture of that trailer again and all I can say is BULLSHIT!  If you are going to be asking that kind of money then lay it all out nice and take pictures of everything. 

I agree with an earlier post, probably got 2.2litre K car valve covers used tires & batteries and all sort of odds & ends.  The guy's got balls of brass to be asking 50 g's for it.

I woulder never ever ever ever buy 50k worth NOS....I know the a 150 shot of nitrous can give some major boost, but now way I would inject 50k worth of NOS into any engine I own thats insane you might blow up or something.
