Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

I'd pull the Mopar stuff off of it and fill the cab with concrete.  You'd have to be an idiot to pay that much for it, unless you wanted the hubcaps.  You'd have to be an idiot to pay that much just for the hubcaps.

For that person who has everything but 'acceptance in the Rat Rod world'.   What a harsh world that must be...

Yeah no shit, Im pretty sure you would get laughed out of any "Rat rod" show if you came rollin' up in that POS!!  :icon_smile_big:

See, when I see "Ratty Rods" with suspensions like Must II, and these types, IMO, too much laziness went into them...No time, just some fugly, welded up junk pawning it off as "Rat"...

And here I am trying like hell to have a 1937 Chevy truck, no fenders, 440, 4 speed, Dana 60, with HUGE rear tires and Zoomies. What was I thinking. Damn, All I needed was an old clapped out S10 all the time.

Nothing wrong with having a ratrod.  Some of them can be pretty cool.  Just need to have the right combo in parts and an imagination.  This truck is not one of them.  Show some pics there Cooter.  I'm curious to see what you've put together.

Nuttin' but junk right now fellers...
It can't be junk, spare pile of parts, but not junk.

the only reason people like them are still alive is because it's illegal to shoot them....

He has no sense of imagination.

Keep in mind, this thing WILL HAVE old skool STRAIGHT AXLE, with disc brakes and NO power steering..Vega box mounteded sideways, and hairpins.
I'm restoring 3 cars right noiw, so this thing is just kinda "As I get to it" type thing.

Nice project there Cooter. Looks like a good truck, very little rust. I like the one piece hood.  Are you going to run the sides on the front or leave the engine exposed?  Looks like fun. Have fun building it. :2thumbs:  Don't forget the beer and pizza.

Indygenerallee

Sweet!!! I built a 1950 Chevy fleetline rat rod a few years back me and a buddy chopped the top 5 inches!! First top chop and it looked badass I had guys wanting to know what year Mercury it was!!! lol I will have to see if I can find a pic!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Cooter

A Buddy Swiped this at Carlisle this year for me. Got all for $600.00 (Looked up everything here in 3 Y/O Summit Racing catalog and came out to like $2000)..
No Hood, Fenders.. Don't care for the split hood at all, but I have it..No Chopped top either. No channeling so low it sits 1" off the ground.
Old skool Rod. Something that not only looks good, but isn't a PITA to drive.

Oh yeah, it will have the biggest damn Solid lift cam I can run, and will be obnoxiously loud...So loud, I want people to hold their ears.

Here is a pic of my 50 Chevy fleetline I built, 4 linked, bagged, 283 with TH350, It was a head turner!!!

Yea, I shoulda kept it, I rebuilt the whole drivetrain, had a Lokar shifter as tall as the dash, bench seat on the floor, new tires, bags, four link, It had a 72 Firebird front clip, that was not even all the way laid out on the frame!!

yes, so long as they follow the true spirit of the rat rod. they were built by guys who didn't have the cash and/or skill to build them to look good, so long as they were fast. these millionaire big buck rat rods aren't keeping with the spirit. (eg WCC building one)  :eyes:
