Yeah, as you read!!! I turned off my car, and of course lights. Locked the doors, left the car , and leaving my car, suddenly the headlights turned on by itself. Switch was of course off... had to go from ON again to OFF. That happened 3 times, untill decided to disconect the batt.

Getting home, happened again, twice. Disconected the batt!

SCAAAAAAARYYYYY.

Christine's bro?

Actually kinda cool. Set up a video cam and get some footage of the on-off action. Make for a great post. :popcrn:

Switch is bad maybe?  It could be shorting across.  It's a start anyway. Are you set up with a relay?

Nacho-RT74

LOL. Yes I have relays,  I'm sure is the relay which needs to be replaced ( around 8 years old ). We have got lot of rains latelly and even my headlight relays are inside the cab hidden on back of kick panel, some humidity gets there... but was fun to talk about that like I did. that's why I posted here and not on electrical section.

None of my relays are on engine bay. I have 6 spread around the cab ( around dash ). 2 for headlights ( high/low ), 3 for 3 AC blower speed, and 1 for heater/deff blower speed.

Inside the cab is protected from rust, water, heat, grease, oil, beside is out of the stock look, but you can get humidity anywhere

Sorry, wasn't paying attention to the sections, just the threads.  It is funny though. :2thumbs:

It isn't possessed Nacho your car is just trying to tell you that its lonely and wants you to spend more time with it.

Nacho-RT74

DAMN!!! is my driver!!! and I'm playing with it allmost everyday! LOL. Since I'm amateur restorer, I'm allways doing it something as soon I learn. At this moment I'm playing with carb day after day. I still haven't been able to set the choke nice, no matter how many instructions sheets I have read LOL.

I can't get how it can feel lonely LOL

Ghoste

Well whatever was going on those days, the car clearly was not ready to be put away yet.  It doesn't have the hots for some other car up the street or anything does it?

69hemidaytona

Now if you said that the lights came on AFTER you disconnected the battery I would definetly be worried!

Dino

Had this happen to my aftermarket radio last week.  It popped on when I started it up and couldn't switch it off so I removed the front panel to shut it up.  Nacho maybe our cars belong to Jim so he can park them next to his couch.

BigBlackDodge

This can be fixed easily by running over it a few times with a bulldozer. :o

Works every time, but the radio might start up by itself after crushing. :smilielol:
