69 1/2 Six Pack hood scoop seal

On the 69 A12 car, how exactly is the hood scoop seal held in place to the edge of the air cleaner?  Is it just press fit on there or was there an adhesive of some type?

Adhesive.  3M.  I think some of the places sell the seal and the adhesive together.

Looks like the same stuff as for the trunk seal.   I have done two of these, messy job that has to be do e carefully to avoid getting sealant where you can do it.   I used lots of clamps.

Thanks.  Is it common for these to have it pulling off on the drivers side?  It almost looks like its from the torque of the engine pushing it against the hood.
