Me likey :2thumbs:   You should have brought it by the speedway so I could see it in person.  Maybe you can drive it to spring fling next year?

Allen, I picked it up at 5:00 and got on the road.

Most likely, the car will be in hiding until the summer months.  I have some loose ends on my 68 I have to do and then Winter will be here.   I have a lot of stuff to do to the 300 before I get it officially on the road.  You will see it on the road!  :2thumbs:

Actually Lean Burn was installed from 1976 through 1989.  Still a great car though.

I checked, and it's still hooked up.   I think I'm good, just have to rebuild the carb and go through EVERYTHING.

When the Lean Burn is working its a great system.  One of those ideas where the Chrysler engineers may have been ahead of the available technology with their plan?  But yeah, try it first and see how it runs.

I look foreward to seeing it in person.  Did you pull the trigger on those 68 tail lights?

I did not.  They were pretty nice, but a little sloppy with the paint.  I'm in the middle of restoring some already, so I'm going to save my money and finish the ones I have.  The chrome isn't as good as I would like, but will do.  :2thumbs:

Good call! at that price they should have been perfect, besides you need to save your money for C- body parts. :smilielol:

Allen, shame on you, a 79 300 is the last of the B-Bodies.

GOTWING

That reminds me, when my mother drove her 79 300 to work,( she was a school teacher), her car got the nickname the "Queen Mary" from the custodians. LOL :smilielol:

Last weekend I met a retired Chrysler engineer who did some work with the "fuel metering" system as he called it. Very knowledgeable man. He is a good guy to know if I ever own one. He has a Mopar collection mostly from the 50's and 60's and a couple antiques. We went up to see his collection and take a look through his 20" telescopes (plural). I guess Chrysler engineer was a good profession.
